Studying in Spain or at home?
Many of our compatriots are thinking about the opportunity to work and build a career in one of the European countries, for example, in Spain. The question arises: do I need to study in Spain or in another chosen country, or is a diploma obtained at home enough?
If we are talking about the countries of the European Union, which includes Spain, then it is a myth that diplomas obtained outside the EU are not recognized. However, the rights of the holder of such a diploma will differ from those that he would have at home. The set of these rights will depend on the country in which he decides to settle. There are also general rules.
Who needs a diploma in the EU?
To work in certain specialties, a diploma obtained outside the EU must be confirmed. This applies to areas such as medicine, architecture, law and education. Confirmation requires not only paper procedures, but also passing a test or receiving additional education, as well as obtaining a local certificate. Only after successfully completing all these stages, the diploma holder gets the opportunity to work as a qualified specialist.
To work in many specialties in the EU, including in Spain, you also need a license or permit. The exception is the pedagogical sphere – teaching at school or university. However, not everyone can become a teacher. Teaching at a public school in Europe is prestigious and well-paid. This position requires passing tests and meeting strict requirements, even if the person already has a degree in the specialty.
Studying in Spain is a good option for a successful career
A diploma obtained at home is a guarantee that the holder will not have to study from scratch in Spain or another European country. This document confirms that a person already has the necessary education to work in a certain field. However, in most cases, proof of qualification is required, not the diploma itself.
Those who have completed higher education in Spain have an advantage. Not only do they know the language perfectly well, but they probably had internships or internships at local companies during their studies. They are familiar with local realities and may have useful connections that will help them find a job. In addition, they do not need to spend time and effort to confirm their qualifications.
However, even those who have a diploma from Russia or the CIS can get a job in Spain in their specialty with perseverance. Therefore, the confirmation of this document is an important procedure.
