When to go to the Spanish visa center? Of course, before the New Year!

The New Year and Christmas season is the time when a huge number of tourists flock to Spain again after a lull associated with the end of summer holidays. Many Russians plan their application to the Spanish visa center for this time. Is it any wonder, since the kingdom has long been considered one of the most desirable places for those who want to spend the winter holidays interestingly and usefully.

Recently, the popular portal Hoteles conducted a study to find out where Europeans prefer to go during the Christmas and New Year season. And Spain took first place. It was named the most preferred vacation spot by respondents not only from Europe, but also from the Middle East and even from a number of African countries. It is noteworthy that among tourists there are those who are ready to celebrate not only Christmas in Spain, but also the New Year.

About 70% of respondents said they would like to spend their winter holidays in a warm country. At the same time, they want the weather to be sunny and clear during the holidays. Well, from this point of view, Spain can really be considered an excellent option. Of course, you won’t be able to lie on the beach in most of the country in winter. But at the same time, the winter weather in the kingdom is always warm and mild.

Another argument in favor of Spain for Europeans is that there is no need for a long flight. It is also convenient that you do not have to adapt to a sharp change in climate. For those who cannot imagine Christmas and New Year without snow, excellent ski resorts are open in the mountains of the kingdom in winter.

So, Spain has taken the first place in the list of the most popular destinations for the winter holidays. Which country is in second place? It may seem a little unexpected, but it is the USA. However, if you consider that even the traditional image of Santa Claus came to us from America, this is not surprising. Christmas in the USA is always celebrated on a grand scale and is truly considered one of the most important holidays of the year. So those who go there can safely count on a great holiday mood. Of course, it will take Europeans much longer to get to America than to Spain. Nevertheless, a significant part of those surveyed showed that they would like to go to the USA for the New Year holidays.

The third place among the most attractive winter holiday destinations this year is taken by another European country – Germany. Well, it is also in Europe, which makes visiting it quite an easy task for Europeans. Here you can count on real winter weather, and there is certainly no shortage of festive treats. Many German towns host festive markets in winter, and some of the traditional local Christmas dishes can be enjoyed right on the street.

If we talk about the preferences of Russians, many of them would like to go only to Spain. There are many reasons for this: the popularity of this destination in recent years, when Spain began to successfully compete with Turkey and Egypt, and the affordability of such a vacation. However, Italy has recently begun to seriously compete with the kingdom, attracting tourists primarily with its liberal visa policy. Even those who apply for a visa to Europe for the first time can quite count on receiving a one-year permit at the Italian consulate. At the same time, Spanish visa centers often issue visas only for the duration of the trip.

Many believe that the demand for foreign New Year trips in Russia has decreased, given the upheavals that have engulfed the country’s economy in recent months. But we should not forget that many prudent tourists buy Christmas and New Year tours in advance, sometimes even in the summer, wanting to ensure themselves an excellent vacation in advance. So the decrease in the number of our compatriots who went abroad for the holidays will not be too significant. In addition, if we are talking about Spain, holiday expenses will not be much greater than at home. So the most far-sighted tourists, who have long ago bought themselves a week or two of holiday pleasures in Spain, can only rejoice today, comparing the current ruble prices for such trips and the amount they once paid for their New Year tour.
