The high season in Mallorca has already begun, and the island’s authorities have decided to take care of the comfort of residents and guests. Tourists who have already received a visa to Spain and are planning to vacation in Mallorca should take into account that large fines have been introduced for indecent behavior. To prevent ignorance, which will not exempt you from having to pay a fine, warning notices have been placed on the streets of the most popular resorts in Mallorca.
For example, drinking alcohol on the streets will be punishable by a fine of 500 euros, and appearing in public places in an indecent manner will be punishable by a fine of 400 euros. Loud shouting and fighting on the streets at any time of day will also be punishable by a fine of 400 euros.
Due to the fact that many Majorcan resorts attract British youth, who sometimes exhibit less than exemplary behavior, an information campaign was conducted in local media before the start of the season. Residents and visitors of the island were familiarized with new fines. Flags indicating the most common violations and the corresponding fines were placed in prominent places on city streets. Now tourists who do not want to maintain order and disturb others will not be able to justify themselves by ignorance of the law.
