Choose residence around your plans

We compare eligibility, work rights, funding, family circumstances and where you will apply. Buying a home does not itself create a new residence entitlement: we identify the immigration route first, then plan the move.

Non-lucrative residence

For living in Spain without active work. We assess sufficient funds, health insurance and family documents. This route is not used as a substitute for permission to carry out remote work.

Digital Nomad

For remote employees of foreign companies and independent professionals working with overseas clients. We check contracts, qualifications, income and social-security arrangements.

Work and professional routes

The appropriate route depends on the employer, role, qualifications and legal framework. We identify the exact procedure and permitted place of application before preparing documents.

Family routes

We assess the sponsor’s status, relationship, dependency, funds and accommodation. General family reunification and accompanying-family applications under special routes follow different procedures.

Study

For study exceeding 90 days, we check the programme, admission, funds and insurance. Study permission is a distinct status; work rights and later changes depend on the specific programme and rules.

Renewal and long-term residence

Before the current permission expires, we check continued eligibility, filing deadlines and travel. Long-term residence requires a separate review of qualifying residence and permitted absences.

Legal expertise throughout your application

A Spanish-qualified lawyer

Your case is handled by a Spanish-qualified lawyer, a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), with over nine years of practice. The lawyer reviews eligibility and risks, checks the application file and handles requests for further information.

Protecting your position

The lawyer works alongside our immigration specialist, legal adviser and visa consultant. We agree the scope before starting: route assessment, document preparation, filing, responses to the authorities and the steps after a decision. Appeal arrangements depend on the service agreed.

Key decisions before you move

Property and the Golden Visa

New Golden Visa investor applications closed on 3 April 2025. A property purchase is not a standalone basis for a new residence permit. Previously granted permits are subject to transitional provisions, which require a separate review.

Permit duration

There is no single “one year, then two plus two” pattern for all permits. Duration depends on the route and stage: first application, renewal or change of status. We plan the next step when choosing the initial procedure.

Tax and time outside Spain

The 183-day tax test does not replace immigration checks. Tax residence, retaining a particular permit and continuity of residence for long-term status are assessed separately.

Permission to work

Before choosing a permit, we establish whether you will be employed, self-employed or running a business. Work rights for the applicant and family members depend on the specific route, not simply on holding residence.

Documents tailored to your route

A generic checklist cannot replace an individual review. We identify the procedure and family circumstances first, then check validity periods and the requirements for each document.

Core documents

Passports, application forms and fees, plus evidence of current status and place of application. We check dates, names and consistency of personal details.

Eligibility and funds

Income, savings or professional evidence must meet the chosen route’s requirements. Work routes need contracts and role evidence; family routes need relationship and dependency evidence; study needs programme and admission documents.

Insurance and certificates

Health insurance, criminal-record certificates and medical documents are checked where required by the procedure, including issuing country, validity, apostille or legalisation and sworn translation.

Family and timing

Marriage and birth certificates, partnership and dependency evidence are coordinated across the family application so an expired document does not hold up the whole process.

From your first consultation to your residence card

Understand your circumstances

We start with nationality, country of residence, purpose of the move, income source, family, current status and its expiry date. Full document scans are not needed in your first message.

Choose and prepare

The lawyer assesses eligibility; the team prepares a checklist, reviews evidence, completes forms and arranges required translations. Scope and terms are agreed before work begins.

File and follow the case

We support filing under the chosen procedure, monitor requests and response deadlines, and check additional evidence against the original application.

Complete and plan ahead

After approval, we support the remaining steps and residence-card process and record renewal dates. Following a refusal, we review the reasons and agree appeal steps under the service terms.

Before you get started

Where should I start if I have not chosen a route?

Tell us where you live, what you do, who is moving and your timeframe. We will compare routes and identify the information needed for an assessment.

Is buying a home enough?

No. Buying a home does not itself grant a new residence permit. New investor Golden Visa applications closed on 3 April 2025. A suitable alternative route is required.

Does every permit require 183 days in Spain?

There is no single rule covering all permits. Tax residence and immigration requirements differ. We assess your permit, renewal plans and the conditions for future long-term residence.

Is approval guaranteed?

The competent authority makes the decision. Our role is to assess eligibility and evidence, prepare the application, handle requests and act within the agreed scope.
